  • Anyone else feel that the latest iPhone app drains battery a lot more?

I record my commute into work and then pause it during the day before restarting for the return journey to just get one ride per day. This used to work fine but now the Arrow in the top of the phone remains on WHENEVER Strava app is open (whether recording, paused or stopped) and battery life is significantly worse.

I'm still running iOS 7 which may be part of the problem…

  • @hms I'm still on iOS6 here so can't try myself, but what happens if you stop the recording, stop the app from running in the background (double-tap home, then swipe the app screen up) and then open Strava agains after a few seconds. Is your ride still in progress, or has it lost it?

  • Check my suffer score. 776. And that's with no HRM data for the last 20 miles...

  • @Pifko that seems to work. It remembers the ride and asks if you want to resume or finish. Thanks.

  • Around a week ago or so I started noticing that the real lap time doesn't correspond with the laptime shown at strava.
Today my first lap was 34:45 (100% sure) and strava says 37:42, which I belive it's elapsed time.

Any ideas how to sort this out?

  • Don't stop?

  • Ever.

  • Stop riding in laps, it's boring.

  • I'm sure there used to be a tool that let you compare two riders segments without having to go to each leader board & look but I can't find it now. Anyone know if this still exists (or a work around)?

  • I had to do 73' @ ~75%hr.
It's way easier to press lap rather than be thinking how much time lefts to complete the 73'...

  • Click on the segment (from the segment list for the ride), then 'compare', then you can add people from the 'Leaderboard'.

  • My grandmother gave me my first Kudos yesterday - she's keeping track of my whereabouts on her Ipad Air and somehow found the kudos button by herself.

  • Doesn't your grandma needs to be a strava user herself to give you kudos? she'll be taking your KOMs next!
