Someone nicked a silly running KOM off me.
I dont really deserve running KOMs. So its no biggie.
But feck. Near 27km in just over an hour?
I'd suspect a run/ride mix up. But its called 'afternoon run'.
Needs flagging I Guess. -

Estimated 1km best effort 44 Seconds???????

Strava phone app automatically calls activities "afternoon run" or "morning ride" when you save, you don't pick the name yourself

Honest mistake then.
Looks like his strava is always set for run. When all he does is ride.
Fair enough.
Feel like arsey git now. -

You can flag his record - Strava will send him an email telling him to fix it, and he can figure out from there that he needs to change the record to a ride manually. He won't lose his data or anything, just get a note telling him there's something wrong with it.

This weekend I made a half hearted attempt to do some aero testing (a la chung/golden cheetah). My overriding objective was simply to get my intervals done, so my testing protocol was far from ideal but since I had a potentially suitable loop nearby I figured I'd tinker with my position during the breaks between intervals and see if anything showed up.
I now have 3 separate activities each of which includes multiple circuits of a looped course, and I want to slice up the original gpx file so that each loop is an activity in itself. I've so far failed to work out how to do this in golden cheetah and training peaks, but since there is a strava segment for the loop I'm wondering if this might be an option. Is there any way to extract all the information for each loop so that I have each one in a separate file?

why didn't you just do one recording and use the lap timer to split it up?
-
• #3284
Because my main motivation was to get out the door quickly in the limited time available and get the 3x40minute interval session done. The aero testing was just an interesting aside with the primary aim of discovering how much variability there is between multiple runs with the same set up.
Even so, I'm able to manually impose laps on the data later using golden cheetah so that isn't a problem. However, even when I do that I haven't managed to split each lap out into a separate .gpx file for analysis.
So far the only way I have found has been to export the ride as a .csv and then manually delete the unwanted rows before importing it back into golden cheetah. This sort of works but the files look a bit odd.

He hasnt done much. I reckon he has always had his phone set to run. And hasnt bothered fixing it. Which is fair enough.

Sitting pretty at a steady 40 kph in a group tonight – I thought we were doing alright.
I hear this buzzing and past flies a scooter with rider in tow, in the drops, sweating buckets at 60kph.
He should use strava is he... er... gave a shit.

I maintain that my first suspicion would have been hilarious if true.

I maintain that you've been ingesting too much glue.

Strava doesn't talk to Garmin Express? What? Bastards the lot of them... why can't they just let me do what I want with my data?!
-
• #3299
Read the terms and conditions, you lose all rights to the data once you give it to them.

So annoying
Just destroyed myself on a segment, but stopped to go to turbo training about 5 yards short of the finish....
So I had a very long total elapsed time, incl. stationary....but my actual time was easily KOM.
Annoying.
Ah well, tmw.Took it today by roughly a minute. A large number of traffic lights slowed me down a bit.
It was started by a Spanish company for Spanish rides only so doesn't show, not sure how my mate found it but he invited me.
