Going to aim for Top 10 tomorrow.
Being an experienced polo player, aren't you bored of that feeling by now?

6 months in you'll stop getting achievements for your commute and you'll have to find a new way home with different segments to feed the addiction

Just pedal harder

Anyone has seen their new "ride page"? Screenshot? Not a lot of info in their blog post.

This, and you start paying a lot more attention to Carol in the morning regarding wind direction and air temp...
Then call her a liar after you've uploaded.

Still shit compared to ridewithgps.com
looks interesting. So what's the best workflow when using a Garmin like the Edge 500/510? Should I upload three times to Garmin Connect, RidewithGPS and Strava ?

ridewithgps is good for making routes, strava for recording them

The Strava route builder is great because it favours roads that it knows cyclists choose most often. I've made a few really good routes on roads I didn't know thanks to it.

Ditto, it's found me some cracking routes I would have been too lazy to find otherwise...

I got annoyed with it as was trying to route me through crystal palace to get in to kent, just because some many cyclist meet there for rides.

Pah - next you'll be telling me I don't have to do the Hour of Power and the 3 Lap Challenge on my way to Brighton!

Just joined the LFGSS club on strava. Hi everyone! (real name Andy Matthews). Follow me up!
-

Looking at the Turn Up The Heat challenge, of the LFGSS team we have way out in front a Mr Tim Cross, who's done 559km in 13 rides

Who did the Eddy Merckx? I failed by about 70k... it briefly crossed my mind to go out for a quick blast today purely to finish it, but then I looked out of the window...
If only I strava'd my commutes. But that's cheating.

Not with tubs it is not.

How are people getting on with the route builder? I use it to plot a quick route to Box Hill and it had me going up and down every hill near Crystal Palace on the way back... ffs.

^ Einem geschenketen Gaul schaut man nichts ins Maul.

^^ yeah, it'll do that. Because its data says cyclists choose to ride up and down hills a lot. You'll need to override it if you want to get somewhere specific - use the "Min elevation" toggle, but force it to plot the route over Box Hill (and wherever else you want) manually.

Blocked at work, is this "It's Millartime" all over again?
-
• #2524
yes, but with space invaders, maps, etc drawn over the streets of a town/city with a grid pattern.
I've happened to draw some strava animals this year by chance. From a cycling perspective it looks a bit dull to me, but I guess if you are into urban/gps art it is quite fun.

What would be fun would be this http://www.jonathanokeeffe.com/strava/map.php in a 3D grid.
Today on my commute home, I did some of the segments I did on Saturday, and tried to beat them.
Getting 2 PBs was nice, but improving my ranking from 120th to 12th was very satisfying.
Going to aim for Top 10 tomorrow.
