  • @tomsvoboda - that is awesome. More pics please?

  • Indeed. Brompton frames are steel even on the Ti versions which have Ti forks and rear triangle.

  • @Oswald I find it a bit boring now. I've had the bike since 2008 so I just want to freshen it up.

@lucerne The forks and rear triangle are ti but i'd like to have them match the main body.

  • New post, stem, bars and brakes...

  • Which stem is it?

  • What frameset, wheels and size.
That's just what I've been looking for.
    Lovely bike.

  • Any body know if gosforth cc is still in business or have a telephone number. I'm not getting any response on email or twitter. But the twitter account is active.
    Website is still there.
They had some fabulous unicrown stainless steel forks that I must have in my life.

  • my second hand custom litespeed siena track

  • I was in email contact with Danny about a month ago re: derailleur hangers. They were still in business then, but a little slower (than usual) to respond.

I think that with the sterling where it is, no doubt they are finding things tighter than a year or so ago.

  • speaking of which, got some new wheels and tyres

  • Slightly off topic but does anyone have any information on 'Victoria' Ti frames. One came up for sale here and I tried to google them....

  • as far as I know these were made for Ukrainian track team. You'll find few on pedalroom. My friend has one, I can try to get some info on history and ride quality if you want.

  • Thanks I'll keep trying.
That fork would go nicely with my Brian rourke 953.

  • Hey Beret, yeah that would be grand. Thanks so much.

  • Ok, so I was tod that these were propably made for German (?) woman track team somewhere betwen '90s and '00s.
However almost all the frames were spotted in Ukraine.
Plese don't take this info for granted - it's what my friend has been told by others.

  • Spa Cycles kindly replaced my Sabbath September which had provided 9 good years service. (Cracked at the rear stay)
Not a frame for life but maybe a bike. Glad I kept the receipt and glad they have a lifetime warranty.

  • Stainless steel frame bargain ALERT!!!
Gosforth are doing a stainless steel frame (not including fork) for £670 with delivery. Bargain I'm not sure how long this price can hold with the shitty pound.
The tubing is a carpenter US made set probably formed in Taiwan they are the same company that produce 953 for reynolds. But this set is 931 equivalent.
Welded by ora engineering that made the madison genesis pro bikes in 953. Tig Welding is worthy of the welding/brazing porn thread.
I've already got a rourke 953. Otherwise I would have been all over it. Not bad for a frame that will last forever.

    3500 miles in one ride?!

  • Am currently teaching an aeroplane engineer who is a qualified weld inspector. He can't believe the quality of my Serotta's welds they are "insanely good, the welders are showing off incredible skills".
