  • Good to see the cranks fit.

  • The BB threads stick out on one side by 2 or 3mm annoyingly! Meh, it'll be fine :)

  • Clear coat that Steve, it'll look the dog's danglies.

  • ^Agreed.

  • I've had a couple of bare metal frames and clearcoat just falls off, even proper 2-pack acrylic rather than rattlecan stuff. What I use now is linseed oil - get thin clear stuff rather than the thick yellow stuff. It dries to a hard satin finish that doesn't rub off.

  • I'm tempted to keep my 456 and strip it.

  • First time i have rode fixed gear for like 6 months, i used to ride one almost every day for about 2 years!

I was planning on selling it and using something else for commuting but that hasn't gone to plan, forgot how nice it was to ride, so maybe a shorter stem, different pedals and bodge on some mudguards, should be good.

  • Looks like a fun ride :) Still working/volunteering at Action 21?

  • Yep, how did you know that?

  • Telepathetic, innit! ;)

  • Joseph started Volunteering there to, still haven't met him though, we go on separate days

  • I never managed to get there my self. Moved away from Leam now :/

  • I wouldn't mind moving out of Leam...

  • Im planning on selling those velocity rims as i don't really have the funds at the moment to buy a set of track hubs, any takers ?

  • Just bought this up on eBay. It was part of a complete build but reckon I can sell off some of the parts to make up the larger price I paid. Should be arriving early next week. Going to be a nice upgrade from my Leader. Yum!

  • Anything is a nice upgrade from a Leader, well depending on frame.

  • Steve! if you think about clear coating that frame let me know, I'll send you some pics of a kona frame i got clear powdercoated at bournes here in brum. Got it done a couple of years ago now so you can see how well its stood up to corrosion. Cost me 30 squids, they bead blast it first, it looks lovely.

  • Interesting idea n3il! I'm tempted to keep the paint on the seat tube though...

How do you go about prepping the frame for powder coat? I mean, do you have to mask off the BB/headset somehow? I've read about people using an old BB to protect threads etc, is this the case?

  • ^^^^Nice frame Joseph! Have been tempted by the Vigorelli in the past.
