  • This is my first post on here lads and ladies

Just bought my first fixie yesterday.

    A 2011 Mongoose Maurice

Virtually brand new with. A spare uprated sprocket and chain.
    Brand new inner tubes
All it needed is a new seat clamp which il get from Ride or Albany.
Came in a DHB hard case which I need to get rid off cause it is taking up room.

All that for £150 not bad I don't think to be honest.

  • Whats up with the seat clamp?

  • one of the sides has snapped so it isnt tightening all the way and is loose.

  • I'll have one that fits unless they changed the seatpost size.
They have stupidly small 26.2 seat post.

  • il measure the post tomorrow mate
How much would you want for it ?

  • The leader as I'm using it now.

    Enjoy fixed, good price!

Nice, but needs a different saddle!

  • Na that saddle is perfect for my ass.

  • Well that's annoying. I've just discovered that the clunk noise coming from my Pompino wasn't the bottom braket. No, I wish it was... Turns out I have a crack around the none drive side chain stay :(

Luckily its within its 2 year warranty!

    Steve let's see a photo!

  • It's a rolls.

  • Steve let's see a photo!

  • Fcuk me, that's had it!
There was a thread that these F&F cost £12 to make!

  • Yeah, it goes right around to nearly the same on the other side. Can't believe I missed it, but it's the non-drive side which, let's face it, you never look at...

Concerned that (assuming I get a warranty replacement) they don't have any mediums in stock, so could potentially end up with the newer pomp frame. If that's the case, will they swap the matching brown forks for something to match the replacement frame?

  • It's a rolls.

Sorry meant rolls, prefer turbo myself.

  • That's what happens when you buy shit steve!

  • Hah! The Pomp is ace.

  • It's snapped.

Not ace. Just imagine if I was putting my forces through it!

  • Suppose I ought to post my bike at some point...

  • Nice :)

    Bike check?

  • Bike check?

    Dolan Track frame,
    Carbon forks,
H+Son rims onto BLB freestyle hubs,
    28c Gatorskins,
    Shimano bottom bracket and headset,
Truvativ stem (looking for a stem that doesn't require a million shims),
    Nitto RB021 Bullhorns,
    Charge saddle,
no clue what the seat post is (looking for a aluminium aero one if anyone has one?),
    Sunrace crankset (i think),
    BMX pedals,
    Restrap footstraps.

  • Truvativ stem (looking for a stem that doesn't require a million shims),

    This one?

  • This one?

Thats good actually! But I think i'd be after one with a slightly shorter reach. I missed out on a Bianchi one the other day for a tenner...
