    It may just be me it applies to, but please note you it says you cannot apply for an EHIC if you are not a national of the UK, EEA or Switzerland

  • do you have a national insurance number?
    do you pay taxes in the UK?
    are you entitled to NHS treatment here?

    if yes, then you should be entitled to a EHIC card, check with your GP
