Laser copy?

The front end is nearly identical - Lasers would have been considered pretty futuristic at the time the kestrel came out, but the laser was steel and the kestrel's full crabon.

If you were aiming for porn, I'm sorry to disappoint.
BB looks low, how's pedal strike?
-
• #5988
That is definitely rad...
Just spent load more money I don't have on seat post and rear wheel components. Why do I get this nagging feeling I'm not gonna have much beer money this month?
Have also spent last 3 hrs finishing off polishing my front wheel to mirrored goodness. The fumes and my bad back now require me to go lay down in a dark corner after necking some tramidol and cry myself to sleep!

Whittle seeing as you seem so persistent on LHD why don't you use a MTB hub with bolt on style cog?
I'd trust it a hell of a lot more having had lock rings unscrew on me in the past

• #5997
gonna say yes, cos it's a Gara.
but could be built up better.
black spacers + cranks, nicer stem, lose tt protector and maybe too big for rider?
-
• #5998
Yeah, what's with the whole LHD thing man?
Unless you live in a medieval castle and need to take a clockwise spiral staircase to your workshop.
Why is that the first justification that comes in to my mind?
-
• #5999
I may be getting into a Left-hand rule type confusion, but does a LHD mean that skids tighten sprocket onto hub? So if it's only acceleration that is the issue.
If I could accelerate at equal rate to my skids I'd be pretty happy, so I'm guessing that the more gradual application of force via acceleration is much less of a strain on the lockring, which is presumably why he gets away with it. -

They were spectacular bikes - way ahead of their time - iirc they were first out around 1987
