They're worth exactly what people are willing to pay for them. At this point these frames have transcended their physical form and mechanical properties. You can't say you can buy the 'same' frame or a better one for less money, because those are not Cannondale Track frames.

Also we can't really put Gansta track on the same level as Cdale. Availability etc. gangsta is nowhere near as collectable

I will be interested to see whether they continue to increase in value, nearly bought one a while back but wasn't convinced it was a good investment. fixie value crash is bound to happen

Everything goes up and down. They are the waves of unfulfilled desires of obtaining something relatively rare that crash on the rocks of reality and realization when a fool asks for an astronomical chunk of your hard-earned cash. If you are a trust fund kid and someone else is paying it's all good but on the other hand if you pay a fuckload of money for a frame like that, the chances are that you'll spend more time admiring & talking about it rather than riding it.

Absolutely, I probably should have elaborated further, dales are no doubt rarer but I'm talking about the hype over both these frames and neither are collectibles outside the fixed gear community, personally I would build a custom frame with all the bells and whistles with that sort of money.
But that is my opinion.
