^ perhaps it's the dogs dinner of roadielogowankery as stated above. it may also be due in part to the fact that no bike in the history of sweetfixeh* has ever looked good with red-painted rims.

*Since 2002 or when ever it was that BLB invented the fixed gear

Tastes vary, but:

1. Writing everywhere, looks nasty
   
2. Matchy-matchy rims don't actually match the colours they are meant to match
   
3. Rims just generally boaking to my eyes
