Pinsello paintwork is awesome
I kind of lost my respect when he admitted in some video or somewhere that he knows nothing about any performance thingies and just builds these because they are cool. Atleast he could have pretended to know.
I think that's kind of refreshingly honest. Not like it's a performance bicycle

I disagree: a good frame is one that marries function to form. Simply form for the sake of it is a big fail IMO.

Doesn't he have riders in red hook? Racing? Kind of makes it a performance bike.

I am glad to hear we both agree on how lame track drops look for riding around on the street, but I disagree in that, unlike you, I like bropros sometimes.

TBH, the only performance element that he wouldn't have much luck with is aerodynamics, which, as tester has pointed out, is exceedingly difficult to improve over round 531 tubes.
Otherwise, a well-welded frame from properly heat-treaded stiff tubes, that fits the rider perfectly, make it about as performance at it needs to be.

from where did you extrapolate that info from? I usually ride with RB002s but whack on track frops when I feel like a change. Maybe not as practical but definitely not form over function. I love riding with them on, feel great.

Always thought the cannondale track was anti.
Lugged forks on a fillet brazed frame?! Spindly stays and chunky dt and tt?! Stupid looking bike.
the colour on the original was nice though. -

It's welded alu... alu with a steel fork was quite normal back then.

Kendo Shop has a video of it unsprayed etc

It's what I imagine a child's woodland shelter would look like if you kicked over the sticks.

You're so controversial. Extra hipster points for you.
-
• #40196
I only dislike it because everyone else thinks it's cool.
Nothing to do with the fact that it is just an alu track frame, with a history of cracking, and a steel fork that doesn't really suit it.
