Anyone use 28mm Paselas on a 23mm rim (i.e. archetype)? Interested to hear how tall they sit!
-
• #39907
My guess is 1mm taller on a 23mm rim compared to a standard.
-
• #39908
Why taller? Shorter, Shirley?

Ourys are a sin, I can get behind the bell though. I have a haw-hee horn somewhere in the ether that I've been meaning to put on my Samson

As I took this photo (and possibly posted it first in this thread too) I thought it might be interesting to see how many tumblrs it passed through before finding its way back here again. It really is amazing how many 'blogs' there are which are just straight copies of each other and this thread, endless lists of the same bikes over and over and over and over...
All of life's a variation on a theme and there are only so many stories we can tell. 'Last night was so great/crap because x/y/z happened'. 'I'm so happy/sad because of x/y/z'. 'Shall we go to the pub/party/cinema/dinner/stay in and invent a new chromosome?'. 'My job/relationship's so bad/great/doomed right now'. We all think and do much the same things, so it's not surprising the internet behaves in kind. What is is how fascinating it remains when all the stories we've told and heard zone us out.

^^Agreed on Ourys - look like they belong in an antenatal clinic.

Ourys are a sin
BS. They're too hipster now? They're comfy functional grips with strong aesthetics (which you can dislike, sure).
-

Oury's are annoyingly narrow, look horrible and aren't as comfy as cult, ODI, strong V* or lizard skin grips.
*when new mine have gotten pretty old and rough.

I am struggling to understand in what context Ourys could be seen as hipster. Ironically along with colored tires, a short flat bar and a beaver tail ass protector?
Or maybe on a vintage chrome mongoose or something.

The context of people and their conversion / otp fixies I guess.
I just don't think they're that bad.
