srm power meter which he is also using on his road bike
yep but surely no 'drome would let you on with that
-
• #39529
I have never been on a track, but why not? It's not a safety issue like brakes or low bottom brackets or anything is it? It's just kind of ugly. For sure they allow ugly bikes.*
-
• #39530
It's a road crank with both chainrings on it...
-
• #39531
Yeah, sorry I don't know what that means vis a vis riding on the track. They care?
-
• #39532
They probably wouldn't allow it for not allowing it's sake, you think about any possible crash etc. where the inner ring is a problem, because I'd think almost all of then time if the inner ring was going to cut, the outer ring would get there too?
If be more worried about chainline/chain sizing

• #39533
Well, yeah. You're only meant to have the parts you need to make the bike go round the track. Lee Valley don't even like you having a second cog on the other side of a double sided hub.

My biggest problem with that guy with the Fuji is, all that dollar spent on parts for his track and road bikes, then he shares the crankset across both builds...
-
• #39535
i watched that whole roller video waiting something funny to happen :(
-
• #39536
^^probably easier to just undo one bolt and put the cranks on rather than take of the powermeter and put it into another set of (presumably road) cranks
-
• #39537
I'm saying he should buy two power meters if he's got all dat cash for swag builds...
-
• #39538
This is true, hipster watt watching is the new thing
-
• #39539
stupid internet fixie talking. he rides that bike for training purpose on a german vdrome. (missed the video, that you would talk about the red fuji)

Love that frame.
But...
Would swap the fork for an Alpina.
Different stem, different bars, different seatpost -
• #39546
too front heavy
-
• #39547
Fork is Alpina - Wing Pista, far better than a standard alu steerer model.
-
• #39548
Bars ruin it for me

I know.
I'd prefer the thinner alu steerer one.
It's too fat for the frame if you ask me.
Whole front end is too big. -
