There is not, and has never been an excuse for saddle cages, slave or otherwise (IMHO) - back pocket or go thirsty....

ATACs are a matter of practicality - which I'd place fairly low on the slave agenda....

I'm a big thirsty guy and am not going to be heading out for 60-70 mile rides without plenty of fluids... I rather they were on the bike than in my pocket.

Fair comment on the ATACs, I use old-school Looks on any bike irrespective, for similar reasons (they look a load better though!!)

Still not giving over on the saddle cages - why not go the whole way and have a little drinking straw zip-tied to the top tube?
