Wasn't joking. The shade of paint is affected by the environment (UV rays etc) over time, if you remove a logo after a while there will be a difference between the covered and uncovered paint.

I had a little hunt around for some for sale, no luck, but someone in America last year sold just a drive side crank arm for $900! and that sold within 3 hours so must have been considered a good price. madness.

obviously i know this, i just thought it was common knowledge that those decals arent stickers which you can "just peel off'.
