Is it some sort of speed thing to only have drive side toeclip?

i've never seen that done before (and think it looks rank) but i imagine its a non ambidextrous fixy skidder thing.

I seen a few first timers have straps on one side because there scared of using straps for the first time, like worried they can't put there foot down quick enough.

I knew a guy in Manchester who ran only one side foot retention, after one of his straps snapped... Year or so later his other strap snapped.

Wonder if a lesson was learnt.
