Awesome! Can't explain why but I think even the bar angle looks good, aesthetically speaking.

Gets custom road frame made, has it made exactly to the same specs as a generic bro pro.
-

I just don't understand why you'd say it was modelled on a Kagero when you'd get far more HHSB points for painting it baby blue with proper geo and saying it was C-track inspired. (but with a modern fork)
-
• #31306
maybe he doesnt give a shit and saying it was based on c-track would be a lie.
-
• #31307
I was saying that he should have based it on a c-track, I suppose, rather than a bastardised version of the c-track designed to be ridden by people who are allergic to toe overlap and unable to avoid pedal strike.

if he was going to do that then rather than go to all the effort he could've just bought an old cannondale criterium
the idea of getting a road frame built based on the kagero is pretty stupid but it does look pretty cool tbh

I think he just liked the ride feel of the kagero so he wanted a road frame with a steeper than usual geo. At the end of the day its built by Frank the welder so Im sure it rides like a dream regardless of where the idea came from.
-
• #31311
^^^^ I very nearly bought one of those frames but decided on Alu instead.
The road bike based on the kagero is similar to my road bike, except I went for a lower bb for stability at speed as well as the short wheelbase and steep angles for quick handling. -

If you build a frame with a silly geo it's going to ride like shit even if it was built underneath the Vigorelli by Faliero Masi wanking off a unicorn with the other hand.
-
• #31313
Well obviously its going to be a shit frame if he's only using one hand and thats assuming he's tossing off the unicorn with his left hand not the right.

Tillt the bars a bit up..
Who made It? And why did he got inspired by a kagero? Can't be bothered to find the story, basically the guy had been riding his kagero for ages, loved it and wanted a similar road frame, but couldn't find one so he had a custom frame built

^^Built by Frank the Welder of Spooky etc.
You can read the full explanation here but the short answer is he really liked his Kagero and he wanted a road bike to match. You're welcome.

god these are ugly. for a second I thought this was a top down view

Isn't it :O?

Indra - what frame is that?
That pink road bike would be so awful to ride - imagine the speed wobble you'd get on straight line descents shudders.

Less rake - more stability?

Less rake - more stability?
the other way around

^ this

• #31322
Generally that frame is a bit silly - it looks like its been ridden into the back of something.
-
• #31323
less rake = more trail, more trail = slower steering
and surely slower steering = more stability at speed? (genuine question)not disagreeing it probably handles shit on descents, I doubt it climbs well either
still 100% RAD tho

• #31324
has the fgldn x dickies vid been posted yet?
some nice wheelies n shit
-
• #31325
Well yeah, my road bike has mad loads of rake and it's twitchy as fuck at speed, track bikes less rake and alot steadier...
