  • KC probably wont like this but

    epic track sled

  • Illegal on track, needs tape/grips

  • HHSB's care not for 'your' rules, man.

  • "Easton crabon track bars don't need grips" is the new "it's not a tiny ratio, it's Dura-Ace 10".

  • I saw that bike in SF, thought it look fun.

  • Dumb question, but what the fook is a dura ace 10 chain (is it refering to it being a 10 speed chain?) and how does that increase it's gear ratio in any way, apologies in advance

  • ...but what the fook is a dura ace 10 chain...

    .

  • Tractor tyres. Vibe.

    ftfy

  • It's more te second part of the question that I couldn't fine the answer to. But my most humble apologies in any case.

  • Some very sled friendly wheels up for sale on Time Trialling UK forum at the moment. Tempted by a dimpled 404 front.

  • It's more te second part of the question that I couldn't fine the answer to. But my most humble apologies in any case.

dont apologise, nobody knows everything, and some people prefer to behave like a dick instead of anything else.
pitch 10 come refer to the width, so you got more teeth on a ring that looks smaller than the regular chainring with the same tooth count.
here you can see the difference, both chainrings are 48t - but 10 pitch looks smaller.

so it may look like somebody is running a small gear ratio with a chainring like that.

  • before calling somebody a dick make sure you are capable of explaining stuff properly yourself. "pitch 10 come refer to width" - what the hell was that? or did you mean to say that usual chain has a "pitch" (distance between pins) of 1/2", which is 12,5mm, and for a "10 pitch" chain this distance is 10mm?

  • 1000archangels, a knight in shining 10 pitch armor =))

  • That 'let me google that for you' gag only works if you google the thing the person actually asked about...

  • short n fat

  • It's more te second part of the question that I couldn't fine the answer to. But my most humble apologies in any case.

No need to apologise. I think the answer's been covered now, but yeah, basically because it used a 10mm pitch, any given ratio looks smaller than the usual half-inch pitch. The idea was to save weight as all the parts are smaller.

What I meant was that literally every time a picture of it is posted, someone pipes up to comment on the 'lame' gearing. Same thing now with the EC90 track bars that have the grippy finish on the lower part. Which was my original snarky/dumb/convoluted point.

  • don't apopgize, here is some rep

  • ^^ #csb :)

  • monumental repost.

  • ...only been posted about 37 times

  • That bullion gold stem and bars combo looks solid!

  • Two in one day, with colour co-ordinated Kashimax saddle, stem and aerospoke
