WTF is up with the fork!

Paint flaked away from the brake hole. A replacement is on the cards, but finding a decent 35mm rake fork is proving difficult.
-
• #26033
Will you also tape up the braking surface?
-
• #26034
It's also my TT bike, so probably not as I'd go through a lot of tape redoing it every week.

^^ never understood why people use tape. I use one of these in black, the 15mm tip is ideal. Just hold the marker still using the frame or fork to kind of brace it and turn the wheel one full circle.

Alpinas are 30mm rake, not that it makes much of a different.

'down how come your vig doesn't have the black ring thing between the headtube and forks like this one?
I always wondered what that actually is, isn't the headset because vigs are integrated?
-
• #26039
The older ones used external headsets, but that seems to be the same generation as mine which is integrated, so not sure what's going on there. Haven't seen another like that, is it common?

I agree. the low I posted above doesnt have that, can bet any money it doesnt have a compact tt either as fixieworld wasnt too into it either. but it needs to be welded first for the world to find out..
Zefal ones rubbed back when skidding, work great for when i'm not though, i got weird toes!
