Fuck yeah CHROME!

Genuine question - does it make any difference? I figure since all it does is hold the plate in.
The spring is supposed to be oriented such that the closed end is forward to stop it catching on anything and being prised off.
In reality it probably makes baws all difference as I've never experienced and don't think I've ever heard of it happening but I'm a pedant.

^^^ and ^^
This. As long as his bike doesn't fall apart when he's doing sick skidz, then all is good.
Also, those Novatec hex bolt hubs look pretty good. [csb] I nearly got a set for the Unknown but decided to splash out on Paul Components instead. [/csb]
send me a link again mate to these hubs

I have a set of the bolt-on Novatec track hubs in chrome that I could be persuaded to part with, still packaged too.

• #23860
yes please, if they're low flange!
-
• #23861
Er, I didn't know they did a low flange version?
The flanges on my ones are 70mm wide like this -
-
• #23862
Yeah, I don't think there is a low flange version available mate. They're available through a company called Bike Dome Works (BDW) in Taiwan, but he sells through ebay too. Search for Novatec bolt-on.

• #23863
There was a low flange set available and while back.
-
• #23864

Like Allen bolt?
Rogan, simplest and cheapest solution for a bolt on low flange front hub is a road one with a bolt on skewer.
-
• #23869
rogan, you're featherlight, get a road hub.
-
• #23870
^ beat me to it.
Won't work on the back wheel though -
• #23871
Beat both of you to it.
-
• #23872
Anyone got good reviews of any bolt skewers? I bought ones of CRC and they were absolute shit
-
• #23873
I've had no problem with Halo ones. Don't really see how they can be shit?
-
• #23875
Still think the Novatec track bolt ons are great and use a proper bolt on connection like Paul, Phil Woods, etc, etc...
Quite like the Araya super-aero
