  • The only bike with rotors on this page looks minging

  • Also i think i've realised why those Dos are so ugy. That ST angle is way steeper than the HT. Should be the otherway around

True, but it needn't be like that. I was playing with some Rotor 3D's in work the other day and they are absolutely beautiful.

The fact that the Detriot up page is tiny doesn't help much either, although I agree with your point. I think the worst offender on that frame is the headtube, but its size relative to the rest of the frame, and it's hight relative to the down tube / top tube join.

  • Also on the Rotor tip - I know it's a re but I think it's really nice. Plus, those wheels are twisted.

First person to put the new 25mm wide Ardennes on a slave build wins a tonne of points. Paging Tom...

  • fork rake is rancid too imo

  • the wheelbase on the ^dos is ridiculous long

  • Don't know why... but that ^ reminds me of:

  • So can someone explain what "fixed gear culture" is? In my mind apart from riding a fixed gear bike does their corn flakes taste different? Is their shit a different colour/smell? Do their phone bills look different? Does watching Corrie on ITV1 look any different? If one rides with a brake can they be a part of the culture? Do yo get a badge/membership ID card/pass thingy? Otherwise it seems like a distinction without a difference.

    Sorry, I missed this!

    Global Fixed Gear Culture...
you must have missed it in 2009.

The difference between the "Fixed gear culture" and the "Cycling culture" is vast. Enough to warrant a distinction.

Most people don't ride a fixed gear bike on the street like any other form of bicycle, it is a unique way of riding... if someone feels like it's not unique then they must be doing something wrong. i.e" using a brake at every moment they get scared.

It may come across as being elitist, but in truth it's not for everyone and as people get older they will tend to move on to other forms of cycling as it is easier to go further and faster on a freewheeling bicycle...

But a freewheel will never be as gratifying to most, including me.

Fixed Gear has to be explained in an intellectual way sometimes, just as many other frowned upon activities had to be explained in the past.

    As you were. :)

  • have Rep

  • Enemy on the way up, friend on the way down (;

Actually, it's the other way around:

Friend on the way up, Enemy on the way down.

It's much harder to descend/resist after a few hours climbing up fixed, unless you have a nice rest on the top, but then you are prone to cramp as you are not warmed up... :)

  • why didn't seabase not use a fix-fix hub, 47:18 going up, 16t for the way down?

You have completely missed the point!!

  • If you want a Cannodale copy... The Collosi is the way to go.
    Not the Pelizzoli.

(Which by the way was stolen from H+Son. They had plans to reproduce the frame as a nod to the OG Cannondale, back in 2010. They (H+Son) took the drawings to Collosi, got a quote and went away to think about the project. Then Collosi made the above.)

Collosi also stole all the designs from Stijn cycles... which is why he is no longer is in business :(

  • You have completely missed the point!!

52/14 was the leg breaker of today. Real good range on that grinch

    Can't stop, won't stop.

  • That Collosi looks more like a Pre-Cursa than a Cannondale Track.

  • I also think the Pelizolli is nicer.

  • finally have 75s but not i kinda want silver nomnoms...

stijn is also living in taiwan since nearly 2 years.

  • taiwan, the place where all stolen frame and part designs go :D

  • I also think the Pelizolli is nicer.

so does ronnie crono, he's becoming a hipster now it seems

  • Isnt the tube ratio wrong though? Its supposed to be 1 2 3 4 5

  • Isnt the tube ratio wrong though? Its supposed to be 1 2 3 4 5

    Yup. That looks more like 5, 3, 3, 1, 1.

Neither are substitutes for the real deal.

  • you snobs, the forks are nice.
