...and if we're going back to the first years of the tour de france, those guys rode up 400km with their fixed bikes, up and down.
Yeah! But, actually no. There was some pushing up hill. And later some freewheeling downhill for those that flipped the wheel.
But yes.

I always thought the HED wheels were pretty rare and aerospokes were as common as muck. After this thread tho Its defo clear that its the other way round

not so much... there are more Heds posted in this thread as they are more desirable than aerospokes... There are gazillions of builds out there with aerospokes that aren't in this thread, as they are fucken hideous.
Corima 4 spoke FTW anyway.

Only saying that coz you have one. ;)I know what your saying tho, but they just seem so common especially in this thread

I tried to buy one before when I gave up on a 4 spoke, they aren't that easy to get hold of or cheap. Aerospokes are literally 2 a penny.

I know what your saying the clinchers don't come up all that often. Although that one that was sold this week was a bargain price for one!
-
• #2137
Yeah was a real bargain... When I was looking there was a guy selling a used factory 2nd for around £400 on ebay iirc... Frame was sweet as well, interested to see who got it. Hope they do it justice.

Spot the guy with the rear brake and no lever combination around the 20sec mark. No idea.

why are they always putting their bikes together before going riding? Bad preparation in my eyes.

By the look of the tyre, he replaced that?
As for the rear brake, I think that bike gets run as a SS sometimes.

Yay, Murts! Sticking with the lo-pro/weird wheel mix:

The rear dummy brake is to keep the cops of his back...

Steve uses that bike everyday as a messenger for TCB, it's gets used a lot. Putting a new tire on and checking everything on the bike is working is a good thing to do if you are going out on a 3 hour non stop ride on the paradise loop.
I have done this ride with them before and the last thing you want to happen is be the one who was not prepared and then drags them down because they all have to wait for you.
