Les getting flamed?
-
• #14878
I was thinking of a new (pink based) paint job for Les but I'll just scratch it up immediately so will probably never bother.

Could DIY it with flame decals and metallic yellow vinyl wrap?
-

I do have loads of yellow electrical tape, I might try some flames at least one day

Can someone repost B0N0R's bike? I can't find pics of it, want to do a similar paint thing with my bike.

I'd love to have a frame like that to try a DIY 3 colour hot fade on....
Like pink/yellow/black...
You could even fade to chrome at the back.

Yeah i was thinking yellow; pink could look good too. The frame is chromed all over so that could work. Anything will be better than the shit house paint job. Is yours rattle canned B0N0R? Can't wait till i have the money/ time to build it up. It was a steal

Boner's is ratle canned indeed... and wow, make the most of the chrome then...

Part rattle can, part underseal, part leccy tape and part sticker residue. I'm thinking of re-doing it red again. It looked pretty nice for a while
(it looks even worse than in that pic atm)

I absolutely love that black conversion with the trispoke!
Clearances look very very tight for a conversion though, its confusing me... details?
Edit ooh Maybe it ain't a conversion, my eyes deceive me

B0N0R, did you do any preparation before spraying at all?
I keep on thinking I wanna screw the mash paint job up and have some fun, but don't think it's got tatty enough yet.
Think more riding, less care, and miss betsy might be ready for her new 2013 coat.

I wirewool'd it down to raw to get rid of all the massive chips in the old paint to get a smoother finish (not that it really matters now) then just rattle canned it (MTN 94, best paint for the job).
It look pretty decent when it was fresh
But i get bored way to easy and like painting stuff.
I was waiting around for someone earlier to took some teasers/close ups of the paint/condition
Matching crank arms? Who's got time for that kind of fanciness
