I am having a lot of want going on right now for a T1. I love the headtube gusset on the larger frames, it just looks so solid.
and when resprayed (not a huge fan of the red) my want increases a hell of a lot. the wedged head tube, the thin stays just look magic to me.
Have to agree with you mate, love em too. But they do need something a bit more inventive paint wise, I think...

I doubt it really matters considering rear spoks are flipflop.
I know they have teardrop airfoil sectioned spokes but I doubt any of us take advantage of that.
