lolol zipp tube in the front and a velocity with a rando in the back. I wonder when slave's are gonna start being built with the deep in the back as it makes more sense.

^ .. Aeroness is way more important in a front wheel, so a deeper front makes sense (I never thought I'd say that in HHSB!), except that getting blown around is influenced by front rim depth mostly, so catch 22 ..

Think it's mostly about supply....
There are thousands more aero front wheels out there than there are rear - untill someone comes up with a mass market solution for fixing a campag freehub -

not really. it makes the bike unstable and tricky to handle. Also lessening the turbulence in your draft is important for aerodynamics. look at your typical track bike. only discs in the front during tt's

Actually it makes sense for the rear wheel to be stronger and more resistant to whip skidding...
I've seen a whipped skid snap a disc in half before.
A typical HHSB does not have to be concerned with aerodynamics.

Yeah, rear wheel needs to be tough to stand up to abuse.
Saying that, tubs roll off front wheels so wouldn't fancy whip skidding about on a front tub either....

If your skidding and you're front wheel is sideways... you are definitely doing something wrong! :)

totally forgot wich thread this was. Skidding at any point it could be avoided and ruining a fine tyre would be stupid

Nice work on the Orbroski TM... kinda want to see a more compact ergo stem set up tho! even if it is more comfortable as is :)
-
• #13644
Literally just lowered it ha, must have been re-tightening the bolts as you typed..!

• #13645
fits better than the fort yeah? what are the dimensions? looks rad..
-
• #13646
Well, I never ran the Fort with an ergostem and risers! Ha.
Think TT is 60 cm ctc , effectively a 58.
Will probably stick some RB010s on or similar, when I'm a little less skint.

In all seriousness, side loading on a front wheel with your weight forward fix drifting round a corner... well, with me at 16 stone, rather you than me.
Also, sorted stem on Orbropro...
