i will never ever understand why somec throw away all their archived papers as they we're sold. now they're look boring as all the other italian brands with history who are producing their stuff in asia
[Reader's wife alert] I think this one was made in Italy though. But I agree the older one are much nicer and more unique.

not slavey enough, needs more post (black), better stem and better saddle

This build is comprised of many good parts. This does not mean that it is a good build though...
Campagnolo Pista Cranks >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The wheel set from a classic looking build, bad bike sizing, cheap tires and those awful Ritchey handle bars!!
Fugly.
Nice fork though!
Don't blinded by the ENVE stickers- any other sticker and it would have been called for what it is: butterz.

Really like that Low. Don't think the proportions look that bad. Looks at least a hundred times better than that Somec. Don't know what's up with the Ritchey bars either, although I'd rether see tham taped to the top.

I'd prefer, aesthetically, 1-2cm shorter stem and 1-2cm bigger framesize.
Was thinking about those tb14 rims for my low, but now that I see them doesnt look that good on it. archetype might be better option. Will see next spring.
My GTs are the perfect example: The first Pulse never looked right with the low profiled rims but as soon as I got the Ti Edge track the combo looked much more balanced.
Thick alu tubes look better with deep rims, low TB14-esque rims needs skinny steel/ti tubes.

I used to think only deep rims worked on alu frames but I've totally changed my mind recently. That Low is rad as is.

What is 'too long'?
It looks like a 120mm stem with no spacers below it. A fine setup.
looks best when top tube is center vertically between saddle and tyre

I haven't seen the Ti GT... Where do I need to look?

You could forgo a comfortable and fast position for the rule of thirds. But seriously, if things have got that bad I'd deffo suggest less looking and more riding.

to forego for looks is the name of this thread

You're right. It's just bike fetishism. Nothing to do with cycling.

My living room for now. I'll get some images soon- well when the weather is clear.

^^ That 'dale just doesn't gel for me. Seatpost and bars I think, looks like the rider has orangutan arms with the setback post and bars with that much reach (stem ain't exactly short).
-
• #13142
Sizing on the 'Dale is a little odd but I actually like both of them.
I put track drops back on my bike the other day. I love how they look. Then I remembered they ride like twitchy ass and took them right back off.

One of the first Dales I've seen that I really like. Love dat colour.

I'm gonna not argue about HHSBs and go for a ride, looks like its about to rain and I have waterproof everything now, so quite looking forward to epic wet skids and tow path mud! :D
I probably shouldn't be using a mash for almost CX, but Betsy likes it as much as I do.

I went round the Muddy Hell course on my tarck bike, it was fucking awesome

Am saving up for a full CX bike as the little bits I've done on my tarck have been mud filled awesomeness and figure as quite a few CX bikes have eyelets for racks and guards, that it'll also be good and strong enough for fun filled light touring too.
I'd rock dat Somec. albeit looks a bit big for the owner.
