I rode 30-odd km with risers this morning. In Lycra.
Oh well.

• #12406
how was 30k on risers? you use the b260aa's right?
-
• #12407
obzly not a problem. thats 18miles.
-
• #12408
yeah thats true, ive caved and invested in shiny nitto risers
-
• #12409
It was... uncomfortable...
But mainly for my knees - I feel like the risers change the way I position myself and consequently, on road clipless as well, I now have a sore knee. Likely reason?

• #12410
if it means you're sitting further forward (upright) then yes

That'll be it then!
Fine for tooling around town but back to bullhorns for anything longer. I put them on last night for radness value and couldn't be bothered to swap them back out before this morning.
Hope my knee recovers quickly - I have to ride to a BBQ in the mountains on Sunday...

risers just become obnox out of the saddle :|

• #12413
so do you do your bunnyhopz and skidz sitting down? must try that. sounds like one of them really hard things i must learn how to do to get respect from other riders.

Like this very much, I wondered how the front brake was attached and found the answer:
Anybody knows where to get one of this adaptors?

One does not simply swap out bullhorns for risers without changing the stem too.

I have them on different stems. Horns are on a 90mm, risers on 100mm.
I stole the stem from my drops for the horns... need to buy ANOTHER stem sometime...
