We won't ask noca of course. Just track him down and turn up at his garage.

I'd love to see his face when >20 people stand in front of his house making pictures of their bikes against his garage.

A mate (digs86 ON HERE) just picked up an almost completely NJS Bridgestone (Nitto/Dura-Ace everything, almost mint frame too) for about £800 on Yahoo Auctions here in Japan, so there are still deals to be had...
He paid for the whole bike what I paid for my frame. It's enough to make you cry.

Still I find 800 pounds a damn lot of money.

It is.

You paid how much for the Peleton!? Jesus! Was it almost brand new when you got it or something?

That's one of the cheaper NJS frames here you know. I paid ¥70,000 - average is probably around the ¥100,000 mark and there are a few up towards ¥150,000.
I'm eyeing a custom-made new Nagasawa before I leave and that would run me about ¥180,000. Christ on a stick...
I got the conversion wrong though. ¥70k is about £550.

Oh that's alright then. I know they get expensive but I thought that was only if you actually got one built.
Would love a Nagasawa, just for the Panto on the underside of the BB shell....

• #11961
What?? Even £550 is a pisstake nowadays - I assume just the F&F, headset & BB?
NJS hipster tax is so 2008

we are not having a cheap hobby are we...
-
• #11963
True that, but 800 pounds for a secondhand frame is a lot isn't it. I know it's NJS and stuff, but still.
-
• #11964
I'm still up for the holiday though....
-
• #11965
Yeah - definitely. I'd never pay £800 for a frame that wasn't custom built for me.
