Sunday was fantastic. Nice to meet you all and serious amounts of chapeau to everyone involved, runners, riders, runner/riders, cake providers....
I'm trying to think of possible tomfoolery involving London and Oxford, and possibly pubs, I'm sure we'll be able to come up with something.
FOB, do you have a copy of the Oxford Mail?
Put me down for the Indian club ride, it sounds like a great idea. I'm looking forward to seeing how we are going to incorporate an elephant into a bike ride.

Yes I have, its already framed and hanging in pride of place over the mantlepiece.

I've a copy of the Oxford Mail with Bernie and Hats on the cover and pics of everyone else inside. If any of the London 'Runners and Riders' would like the copy for the (virtual) clubhouse wall or to pass onto the grandchildern let me know.
I missed out on the discussion of some sort of London / Oxford rematch, but think it's a great idea.

If you could ping an electronic copy over, that would be superb.
PM sent with e mail address. If anyone else wants a copy, just send me a PM with e mail address, and I will forward on.

My order for the pics has been sent. It took me three days to fully recover from the weekend!! What's that about? Oh yeah, I'm middle-aged. I keep forgetting :-).

Ian, some brilliant shots from the official race photographer.
The ones of me and Hats, running like the wind to beat the chicken, are off the scale.

Just type in race number 293 for the full horror.

£1,883.55 raised so farHats, you look superb. Not only running, but the one who did the hard work in getting the Just Giving page set up.
Amazed, that with a £100 target, we are now inches from two grand. If anyone on the forum wants to make a donation, however small, you can always brag that is was your five bob that pushed us over the line to the magical 2K.
Thanks everyone, for your generosity of spirit, in supporting us in this amazing adventure.

There are, of course, more photos... but these are to be used for blackmail at a later date. You all know which photos I'm talking about.
'the indian club ride' is in it's infancy and planned for late november to coincide with 'taches and divali.. it'll feature temple in neadsen, bombay dreams, marigold flowers, henna tattoes, bright coloured clashing saris, bright colourful lights, a bit of dancing, turbans, great big feck off 'taches, viceroys, elephants, gurhka rifles, gin and tonics, pale ales.. finishing at the best secret indian restaurant in london..
recce ride is immenient with the choosen few ;-)
