In for the 28th! I've put my name down to marshal at the Big Ride, so some noodles afterwards would be lovely:
- Poots.

- hats
In other news, the likelihood of me being able to do the ride and run is diminishing, and I may end up just doing the run. In which case I'd be happy to take as many brushes/bags/etc as I can carry on the train to Oxford in the morning, and we can leave them at FOB's bike watch and brush emporium.
- Poots.

Top man. Can we tempt you with a noodle lunch?

is that a euf?

Hats, good call.
Ian, when might you be able to make it? Maybe a pootle out on Saturday 28th April to Ryo, by junction of Glasshouse Street, and Berwick Street for a spot of lunch?
Has the most amazing udon, and sushi, as well as black Ashai beer. Went there first time on the Udon ride, and am now a regular repeat offender.
Also going on LCC Love Ldn-go Dutch ride, although I was under the impression it was 11am - 1pm. Anyways, a spot of sashimi washed down with japanese lager afterwards sounds like a good idea.
Would it be a good idea to bring 8 or 9 drain rod sections for distribution/leaving with Hats?

I was not thinking of that type of California Roll, but hey, what's the worst that could happen?

Sounds good to me - how big/heavy are they? I will probably be on a bike with panniers that day so can load the bike up like a mule...

or hire them for £15 from hss in oxford and i can bring them to the bike drop point?
10 rods £15. no brushes tho.

They're not too heavy - just a bit unwieldy being 92cm long

Another question! I know we've said 20 mins after end of ride, Saturday 28th April at Ryo, but I'm not sure what time that will actually be. I'm marshalling the Big Ride and apparently could be there until 3!! (hopefully not though... that's a bit too much marshalling for my liking)

just went to look up Ryo, jct of Berwick/Glasshouse but couldn't find it.
Is it:
Ittenbari Ramen
84 Brewer St, London W1F 9UBif so, i was thrown by the different name and address
Ian, you are quite correct.
Restaurant has changed its name, but all other aspects seem the same.
Telephone number if anyone needs it

Hats, I suggest you explain that you have a bowl of Japanese soup with your name on it, and you need to be away by 2 pm. Therefore, if we aim to gather at 2:30, we will be just clear of the lunchtime rush, and able to grab a quiet table.
I have PM'd you my mobile, if you need to order ahead.

Excellent idea. Japanese soup takes priority over marshalling any day of the week, everyone knows that. See you at 2.30!
I've PM'd you my mobile too, in case of changes of plan.
In other news, the bike with panniers is still not rideable so I'll bring a big rucksack for carrying the drain rod sections.

... that's gonna be fun, schlepping my drain rods along to the 'big ride'. oh well, as long as I don't spear anyone, or get arrested for carrying a dangerous weapon

Ian, I have a plastic tube holder, with a canvas sling.
Hats, would that be of use?
-
• #223
That would very much be of use, thank you Bernie!
-
• #224
hope you all enjoy lunch tomorrow - don't forget to let us know plans / times for meeting up in Watlington en route to the big O. Looks like there may be more than just a couple of locals joining this time!

Hummm, I have a cunning plan...
Will share tomorrow and shall bring the tube holder.
Oh, a list, for a list, for a list!
