  • That is cool.

  • No pink hubs?

  • I came

  • So you did.

  • It's dirt cheap.

  • So jel.

  • Thanks for the comments dudes. This is turning out to be a fun little project. Will hopefully get a couple of free evenings next week to do the frame & stem.

Am actually thinking of doing a short run of custom painted forks similar to these in the next couple of months if there is any interest. Will probably use stock Alpina fork unless I fun anything more suitable.

  • Don't suppose you have any orange and white you want to use up?

  • Afraid not.
Your paintjob is not really my kind of thing to be honest..... I'm not too keen on working from someone else's design.

Dov has given me free reign on this, which is one of the reasons I'm doing it for him! (He's also agreed to life time blowies at my request)

  • Well, I can't compete with the blowies for sure- I hear Dov excels in that area.

Anyway, the forks look awesome, looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

  • I have this and would be interested in your ideas... tempted to get something nice and colourful!

It's matte carbon if that makes any difference.

  • Sorry Soul, I'm not planning on doing any more frames for a while as they are so time consuming, and I just don't have the time right now.
This is just something I do on the side for a bit of fun.... I have a full time job to hold down too!

  • Boo.

Never mind. It looks nice plain anyway...

  • I have a full time job to hold down too!

You have a full time job and managed to finish painting a frame in a *day? *wow you must be amazing.

  • Stem caps has seen some paint yesterday. This project is looking good already…

  • ermagurd

  • Cosmic Puke thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • Planning on finishing this up tonight. Bar me fucking it all up.
Am masking now, which is taking ages. and is boring.

  • That stem cap looks amazing.

I have to say. I like it so much I find myself tempted to get a plain carbon CX disc frameset, and let you do what ever you want with it, Hoops. This really does look good.

I guess I dont have the money, and you dont have the time.

  • Done. One or two little fuck ups, but generally pretty happy. First time using matte lacquer, so we'll see how it holds up in the real world. I put the stripes on the top tube to distract the eye from the slight bulge from the repair.
I'd quite like to keep it to be honest.
