Oooohhh I see. It seemed like you were getting beta parts pre-release. Also, you actually get tunnel time for personal use? Seemed extravagant.

I get tunnel time if I cough up the £400/hr, same as any other punter.

and also worth about half a second per km. Their collective shame makes the air less dense.

This is shaping up to be so sweat. Have you started racing yet?
What wheels is it wearing? -
• #82
I was supposed to race on Saturday, but pulled out as the weather was iffy. Hoping to have the T3 ready for Good Friday on the H10/22, wearing the same Pro disc/Hed 3 combo seen on my Koga last year.

It won't be here in time for the first ride, but I'm pretty high up the waiting list for the new TriRig Omega brake
-
• #84
Is that like a modern Campag Delta?
-
• #85
Hence the "Omega" name, I guess... :)

Damn Tester, this shit looks like it's shaping up to be one sexy bike.

Is that like a modern Campag Delta?
Functionally, it's more like a modern DuraAce AX
-

I particularly like that it's been developed on the P3, so it fits perfectly:

There's still 6 days left to preorder yours!

I was in within seconds of the pre-order window opening, just have to wait for Nick to actually make the brakes now.

Saw you at last year's HH Good Friday, nice bike and with results to match too!

That wouldn't be him.

Remember to show us once they arrive.

More like a modern version of the Hooker
-
• #96
The Hooker is a linkage brake, like a Campag Delta (different linkage, but similar principle) whereas the TriRig is a roller-cam like the Shimano BR-7300. It's even smaller than the Hooker

Looks quite simple and fairly easy to make with a decent mill.

The cable is central on the EE calipers- a little fairing over the front and it'd be similar to the above I'd have thought?
-

I'm running 600ax on my winterbike. Lovely brakes, a really neat design that seems to work pretty well for me, look nicer than the TriRig ones too(but prob don't work as well/weight twice as much). Shame the pads are rare as hens teeth now.

Andrew Coggan, who has been tunnel testing brakes including the prototypes of the TriRig, said he'd like to get his hands on an EEBrake just to see how bad brake aerodynamics could get. Functionally, the EE is nothing like any of the above, and the cable is angled so it doesn't sit in the dead air in front of the head tube. As a weight-weenie brake with stopping power, EE hits the spot, but nobody in their right mind would let one anywhere near a proper racing bike.
I don't think I'd call racing 'fun', but this is just a personal race bike. Tester is UK cycling slang for time triallist, it doesn't refer to any kind of occupation or employment in the area of testing.
