looks like all the videos have been taken down (or I don't have whatever is required to play them).
I know that there is a forum wide difference of opinion about what is or is not sexist. It's good that this conversation exists, although I would like it to be had with less >>>>>>> and more actually discussion, but hey ho, this is the internets after all.
I can't comment on the first link, but I do find the second link just plain sad.
It's hard for me to see the difference (as I've said before) between the people that are coming into my shop and looking around for someone else to help them before they sigh and say "well, maybe you can help me" and the people that think that it's fine to put a half naked woman on a bike to sell more bikes. Because, of course, that says's everything about cycling's target market, no? -

The second link is a link to the same video posted on Velorution. Two women have negatively commented on the site. The whole site is a boobs and arse fest. Why? Terribly sad indeed.

Men are very basic and simple - we like tits and bikes*

Pathetic video, actually embarrassing to watch. If this Andrea tool thinks that's appropriate for his shop's site then he's obviously a bit slow. As a male mammal I find the female faces and bodies attractive and enjoyable to look at, but that's not the issue here. Maybe he think it's empowering for women?! WAC

^^ Speak for yourself G. I thought the vid was base, pointless and dull. To be honest the offense I take from it is that it's makes fellas look all the more "basic and simple". Just serve em up some colours and nipples and they'll be yours for 1.40 minutes. I mind it more in a commercial context than a porn one obviously *
*time and a place for everything and all that.

Especially odd considering that Velorution comes across in terms of products and shop staff as being the antithesis of a jock / niche bike shop. It has a ton of 'family', ''utility' and 'lifestyle' type stuff.

that's usually what i think about any bike polo/tricks/fixie-prick nobbing about video made by the visually unaware. the world is full of dull videos trying to sell shit.
deal with it. -

The whole site is a boobs and arse fest. Why?
Because it's run by a man with no other outlet for his porn sensibilities. What he needs is a personal blog, separate from and unconnected to the shop site, where he can share his love of T&A without offending some of his potential customers.

He has been a knob on a number of occations. Last time he managed to be racist about Africans, East Asians and Jews all in a single post. I think he is dumb and in any case the man is a liability. It's a shame as I rather like what his shop is trying to do.

sex sometimes sells things
sex sometimes scares people
sex sometimes offends people
sex sometimes attracts people
controversy has got us thinking and writing here about Velorution. There's no such thing as bad publicity.
For every potential customer repelled by this exploitative video there will be others attracted back to the site -

I don't mind sex. In fact, I have it once a week myself. Usually with women.

Impressive.... I think. (Is there a link for this? I'm quite curious to see how this is achieved!)
The video is, in itself, awful never mind as an 'advert' for bicycles.
Doesn't he feel embarrassed or is self awareness just not his bag?
