My non cycling friends and I actually spent New Years eve in the Coach and Horses last year. No tickets, chilled out, a bit raucous at the end when I was dancing on the bar and the landlord was spraying me with soda water.

I'll be doing a couple of reconnaissance rides soon. Not being the most well-travelled of forum types, I'll need to work out a route that's based on the last GSIAD route as well as incorporating the road closures that Boris will have (badly) planned for the evening.

I love the thought of doing this. My missus is on call for the evening so I'll have to be home and not partying, but maybe I'll be able to do this somehow? Not sure if it's logistically possible but something tells me it is.......
