My non cycling friends and I actually spent New Years eve in the Coach and Horses last year. No tickets, chilled out, a bit raucous at the end when I was dancing on the bar and the landlord was spraying me with soda water.

Maybe we should finish at the C&H then, to be sure we can at least get a non-tramp beer there.

Trampagne next to Big Ben?
Bad idea man - last year I was there there were over 200,000 people trying to cram through there. I'd say somewhere just south of the river would be a good bet

I think we're missing a trick here.
Surely Jacqui wouldn't mind leaving her mooring and ferrying us across the river? :D

I'll be doing a couple of reconnaissance rides soon. Not being the most well-travelled of forum types, I'll need to work out a route that's based on the last GSIAD route as well as incorporating the road closures that Boris will have (badly) planned for the evening.

I love the thought of doing this. My missus is on call for the evening so I'll have to be home and not partying, but maybe I'll be able to do this somehow? Not sure if it's logistically possible but something tells me it is.......
I'm bringing some fly agaric, a bottle of ether and a book of William Blake poems.
