in truth noone knows where we will be at midnight. most probably in the queue for a pint at a bar or waiting to piss. magical
-
• #354
I reckon I can fit about 50 cans in my backpack, fuck queuing. Piss around the corner.
-
• #355
I reckon I can fit 200 cans on my touring bike.
the problem however is the cost of said 200 cans...
-
• #356
i'll pay you to carry around 20 cans for me. or get a keg with a pump. win win!
-
• #357
i want to see scoble do swains with 100kg of beer on his bike
-
• #358
I did swains once with 8 litres of cider in my bag. It was painful

-
• #361

-
• #362
Can't we just ride around and drink like hobos under a bridge at midnight or something? Next to a flaming oil barrel? I thought the whole point was to avoid the bullshit that is queuing for a pub on nye. Sounds like weather will be ideal for staying outdoors too.

actually pedalling?
You hear me.
I hauled 120kg worth of packing on the trailer when moving flats...

• #364

Might be into this. My GF is going to some sort of bloody awful disco/nightclub thing. I'm not keen on that sort of goings on.

@fast orange
The whole 'grand slam' thing is a bit of forum lore: you visit every pub on the forum pub calendar. You're the canadian visitor, maybe? (my memory/search fail) in which case fair enough. But I guess some combination of pub drinks and tramp bags will be in order, to prevent dawdling waits at busy pubs.
-
• #374
Nope. Neither have I. Don't worry - at least we'll both have someone to 'Swain it with.
Fixed. Obviously.

It should be fine! The route works out at roughly 31 miles which is not bad at all.
Ive been to all the pubs so know the routes inbetween pretty well. This has no north or wests on it. Sorry if I am missing something.
No worries. The route suggests we ride over parliament hill and then next to primrose hill. Hopefully we will be passing at around midnight....
