Can't we just ride around and drink like hobos under a bridge at midnight or something? Next to a flaming oil barrel? I thought the whole point was to avoid the bullshit that is queuing for a pub on nye. Sounds like weather will be ideal for staying outdoors too.

The whole 'grand slam' thing is a bit of forum lore: you visit every pub on the forum pub calendar. You're the canadian visitor, maybe? (my memory/search fail) in which case fair enough.

But I guess some combination of pub drinks and tramp bags will be in order, to prevent dawdling waits at busy pubs.

It should be fine! The route works out at roughly 31 miles which is not bad at all.
Ive been to all the pubs so know the routes inbetween pretty well.
