I believe it's the name of a popular beat combo.

It's actually a football team I recently watched drawing with Tonbridge Angels.

Latest middle-age problem: being able to afford a Cinelli mod. 3, but not having the time or energy for the necessary yoga classes.

I'm fascinated by the local network of footpaths and have started watching train journeys on YouTube.

You're probably alright as long as they're not the ones with Portillo.
-

The Portillo stuff is a bit light on actual train content although there is some pleasure to be had from how awkward and out of place he frequently is.

Just ordered a Blood Pressure Monitor.

NYE, stayed in as mrs was out dancing, binged some Downton Abby episodes and drank one bottle of stout.
Quite content with that. -

OH got me a pair of tartan slippers for Xmas.

Matching comfy blanket and Ovaltine mug should go on your birthday list.

I'm staying in a hotel at the moment. The bath has one of those soap holders with integrated grab bar that you can use to pull yourself up and out.
Caught myself thinking that I'd quite like one at home.
Oh dear.

Already have the leg blanket for cold days in the garden office. Exchanged the slippers for some less tartan but equally fleecy ones.

Not sure if this belongs in the middle aged thread or over the hill thread but here it goes... Booked a trip to Las Vegas black Friday for January 1st to avoid the rowdy that goes along with new years eve celebrations and because it was cheap.. We were back in our room by midnight after pub food and only 3 drinks. I'm Lame! Off to do some outlet mall shopping to score some new kicks or add to bike kit. Shot from our room at Planet Hollywood facing MGM Grand across the Bellagio.

I was on the sofa two hours after doing 5k park run, with thighs feeling like concrete and a hot water bottle between them. I used the excuse that I’m a cyclist not a runner but, frankly, that rather weak cop-out did nothing to make me feel less old, worn out and inadequate.

I ordered a blood pressure monitor 3 months ago.
I put it ib a safe place.
I have spent the last two months looking for it.
I can’t for the life of me remember where it is, to the point I am on the brink of ordering another. -

Your BP isn't the issue.

Repped!
I still remember rep so my long term memory is not too bad. -

Jees. I well and truly feel old now.
Got this email from Trainline. I read it three times over just trying to make an understandable sentence out of their wording or even find a tiny smidge of relevance to anything I have experienced on a train. I resorted to asking my son just what the f**k this has got to do with anything?
Turns out it’s a reference to Spotify - which most of you are prob familiar with - and I have never used.
I use the train rarely, usually only to travel to a distant place which has a totally different stone for me to crawl under. But you prob guessed that too, I expect.

Yeah, but perhaps more of a ‘Conservative politician wears t-shirt over shirt n tie and gets into the groove at a charity gig’ kind of feel about it.

And then tries to rap.
-
• #2899
Oh god. Now I’ve got this hideous vision of Portillo in a shell suit and flipped cap walking down a train aisle chanting rap and train beats with a microphone (back to front) stuck to his top lip.

It took me two days to realise that “has dropped” means “is now available” and not that your train usage has decreased
