@vilms5000 Do you even know where your bleed key is? I always know where mine is. A magnetic hook, don't ask me how it works.

Magnets?
-
• #2204
Just bled mine earlier this week. Key lives in a special tupperware with fuses, tiny screwdrivers, and assorted other random small things. The magnet is good though.

Just about to pull the trigger on a new electric blanket. Could not be happier to find that you can get them with separate controls for the body and feet sections. Mmmmm toasty feet.
-
• #2206
What make has the separate sections ?

The realisation that you hadn't knowingly heard or have any knowledge whatsoever of the alleged songs of the year.

I only recently learned that "The Weeknd" is pronounced "The Weekend" not "The Weakened"
Couldn't hum a single bar of their music, mind you. -

For reasons unknown I dried my right leg first when I got out of the shower today and now I can’t stop thinking about it, it’s completely fucked my brain. Maybe this should be in the OCD thread but I’m sure I wasn’t like this in my 30s.

That's a pretty impressive commitment to have avoided hearing the new ABBA singles.
I've heard 8 of those that I am aware of - (about half of those via the kids). -
• #2213
As far as I'm aware I haven't heard the new Abba single! I generally tune out when R2 is on in the kitchen. The Jeremy Vine show v World at One is a battle in my house.
I feel like contemporary culture kinda passes me by as I get older. Fail to recognise celebrities on Saturday night TV etc..

Had one set fire to the bed years ago and would never use another.
Hot water bottle between my feet is good enough for me. -
• #2215
Yikes - presumably not while you were in it? Have to say it's been blissful this week - just for a quick boost to temperature getting into bed. Don't leave it on for long though & hopefully have more modern precautions against bursting into flames.

This thread is amazing, I haven't looked at it for two years apparently.
So who's got totally doolally parents? I've got four of em.

A friend quite dramatically set fire to their flat with an electric blanket. Modern one, switched on when they got in of an evening, and in the time it took for them to make tea and get ready to turn in, it had set half the bedroom ablaze...

Middle age is when your parents are proper doolally and you’re trying to get them from hospital into a home. No fucker warns you about this bag of shite on your middle age and the constant black cloud of misery.

Ha! Or hearing music in an aqua aerobics class and asking the instructor what track is playing and being told ‘it’s currently no 1’.
Happened to me a few years ago with ‘We no speak Americano’.
-
• #2220
Or indeed when a song being out "a few years ago" is actually over a decade ago.
-
• #2221
Or just being in an aqua aerobics class.
-
• #2222
Can vouch for number 10 being a banger.
