In the early eighties I knew a chap who was a big fan of Hitchhiker's Guide. I can't remember his real name anymore but he was always known as "Slunty" or his full name of "Sluntycuntthrust".

If he was one of your former colleagues, I bet that went down well in Court.

I expect you probably know that Hotblack Desiato are estate agents in Camden, Islington & Highbury ... Douglas Adams' inspiration for the name in Hitchhiker's. He used to drive past the Camden one apparently, and the name always made him chuckle, so he asked them if he could use their name in the book ... the rest is history!

I didn't know that but then I was never as big a fan as Slunty was. However I was a fan of The Meaning of Liff which is on my bedside cabinet, even now, for some light reading.

It's bank holiday Monday. I went to a garden centre, went home, had a nap and then dug out a new flower bed, with commensurate lawn edging.
Slippers now, methinks.
