  • Thank you! Although I did think you where a cycling encyclopaedia bit disappointed.

I managed to divine the way up to just outside alderly edge and then got all turned around.

  • Right people who want to travel on bikes:

    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=215989672947454097556.0004b930529e90efe25e0&msa=0&ll=53.246214,-2.25872&spn=0.06348,0.194492

    I wouldn't mind starting around 11 but I'm flexible.
If you're in PM me and you will get my number and the starting place.

  • Which way round are you doing it, Alderley > JB > Airport? Are you planning going up Swiss Hill or just sort-of around it. Don't know if I'd make that without gears at the moment.

  • sweet! i can meet you at where booth st. and oxford rd. cross, since that's on my way.

i'm also not fussed about start time, 11 or 12 are both good.

  • Alderly -> Jodrell then round the airport is the way. I'm going geared and will struggle up any incline.

Meet outside sandbar at 11? (as I don't know which street is booth street :D)

  • Come on Andy, multiple gears are for the lame.

Takes a look to make sure his Tiagra is in decent shape for tomorrow

    OK, I'm lame. SUE ME.

  • Meet outside sandbar at 11? (as I don't know which street is booth street :D)

    Cool, sandbar at 11.

  • Changed meeting place to outside my flat 'cos it's easier for me :)

Newcastle street @ 11am. Promptness would be nice.

  • Lovely bicycle ride today. Well up until the point where some cunt knocked me off the bike while setting off at lights.

  • wha? You OK?

  • Yar I'm okay, just a bloody knee and a sore shoulder.

And I really want donuts but can't be bothered to go to asda.

  • You get a reg plate to report it?

  • Shit dude! This hasn't been the nicest week to your body :-/ How's the bike? Wheel out of true? :-p

And it was a nice ride. 106km back to my flat if you believe My Tracks, including my little detour.

Now, how does one go about fixing a cold?

  • whisky

  • Nah I was too busy swearing and putting the chain back on as it was raining and I wanted to get home.

Not too fussed/ too tired to care right now though.

  • was it the drivers fault?

  • Yar. I was even on the left out of the way, and they somehow managed to get me with the front side bit of the car, (I don't know the name of car bits).

  • That'll be the cyclocrusher panel, looks like you got off easy

  • point on this diagram where the car touched you:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/Moddie/f430.jpg

  • That front bit where the spinny things are that make the car go.

  • I'm gonna go get a fuck load of doughnuts now, to make me feel better/full of sugar.

  • Up the river, just watch out for bears

Crap! Is it mating season already? How am I supposed to score with this in my kitchen?!

  • Actually on that car it's the rear spinny bits that make it go, wheels will be the word you are looking for, you may recognise it from the thing you break all the time on your bike

  • How can you not score with that in your kitchen?

  • whisky

    got it. tea. good advice.
