Wayne, you can bring your mallet, if that is what is stopping you signing up. It would be nice to see you.

I hate snow. All it is, is white frozen rain.

• #162
It's purdy though ...

^^ the 'white frozen rain' is pretty ... that's mucky slush.

Yes I know, I concede it is beautiful when everything is covered, but it's only pretty in the countryside.
In any city, its nice for about ten seconds, then turns into grey gloop.
I lived in Toronto for a year, the snow there put me off it for good.
It snowed last December in London, that's enough for me for a few years...! -

London snow is nice when you open your curtains to a new blanket of it first thing in the morning or when you're pissed and pissing about in it late at night. Rest of the time it's just a pain in the arse (often literally, when it refreezes and gets icy).

great fun for riding in - snow, though not if you're in a hurry. I like the way everything is quieter when there's snow around. Shall I be the first to say it?

oh go on then:

snow in cities is not horrible, it just requires a few things...
a) the city to properly clear the roads/sidewalks BEFORE if freezes (London = fail)
b) proper clothing
c) a bit of forethought
d) realizing and accepting it is not summer anymoreI agree with L&W, snow is pretty and it makes the freezing temperature worth putting up with.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. oh yeah.

• #172
Myself and Lady Liz are potentially in, at least for the start. Gotta be back and start cooking at some point.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. oh yeah.
I don't see your or Dancing Boy's names on the list. You are expected on the ride.

Surely we'd prefer it if Alex elected to leave James at home?

Only because DJ will be frustrated with the lack of drivers/nodders/coppers/whitevanmen to yell at given the empty roads. At least he can "RED!!" the whole group.
And to make another thing clear; I will not be wearing tweed nor a silly santa hat.
