    grumbles something about coffee

  • grumbles something about tying a bow tie

  • Yay. Woken at 6.30 by a very excited junior tweedster.

  • grumbles something about tying a bow tie

Ha I nearly threw something large out of my flat window last night trying to work that out!

  • yes, another great tweed run. have to say that the tweed gear is far better suited to today's weather than the usual spring "mild heatwave". nice to see a few faces I haven't seen for a while, and nice to meet some new ones incl. dogpants.

well done teddy, jacquie and all the marshals, a sterling job!

  • Well done all - J & T & Marshalls - a fantastic day.

  • Congratulations to Ted and Jacqui and to all the marshalls for making this special day happen.

  • Not as many pictures as I'd like to have taken: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cedyride/sets/72157628163902703/

  • Some familiar faces on this Flickr slideshow set.

  • Lovely pics. Hopefully no-one lost their head gear to the wind.

  • Great pics - thanks for sharing. Found myself amongst those..

Was a cracking day out and, as above, big thanks to the marshalls that did a cracking job on the day along with all that helped to organise this ride.

You look to have really captured the atmosphere with these photos. Outstanding is an understatement!
I'm so impressed with the effort everyone has put in and how you all seem to have morphed straight into another era.

  • I've added some of my pictures from today here

  • Thanks wvm. So many wonderful outfits... and people grinning from ear to ear

  • I have a monstrous hangover, a smoked out throat and couldnt possibly be happier about it.
It was truly an honour to pilot photobenhur around for the day on the trike, just remember to keep leaning, no matter how slow the corner. Wouldn't have been on the ride otherwise so doubly happy!
So many lovely new and old faces, astonishing beauties and dashing gents.
Feel like a chump for not being on the forum/at drinks more often with y'all. Was a true honour to finally meet the great General Lucifer.

Thanks again and as ever to the wonderful Teddy and Jaqui along with all the lovely marshals who kept us safe, happy and on the right path.

  • Sterling work on the photochariot, edmundro!

  • @ Zebra Cyclist - more great pics. Thanks.

I loved the photojournalists. No concerns from the police given the "health and safety" world we now live in Edmundro? :-)

Both sets of pictures reminded me that it is possible to look glam on a bike. Must rediscover lipstick - lol.

  • Ha! Didn't realise how much of a tramp I looked yesterday. Apologies!

    Leaning in ftw

  • No concerns from the police given the "health and safety" world we now live in Edmundro? :-)

Funny you should ask but the police on old street en route to the start were very unimpressed, made ben go get a boris instead. Once we were on the ride I don't think they gave a hoot. Best cornering/leaning moment was in front of a carfull of smiling officers so I'm sure they didn't mind!
Health and safety? As long as we didn't flip it on a corner(which we didn't) there's not much to go wrong, ben only fell off the back once while pulling away so a resounding success I feel.
I hope to do it again!

  • Another great Run, thankyou so much to Ted, Jackie and the Marshalls. And what a swanky venue to end up in!! Think I overdid the "cleansing" at the bar though..
Glad you survived your sojourn south of the river ian (conker).
