• Indeed, I will be at the Lido.

  • Cool, see you in a bit.

  • At home feeling sorry for myself cos of throat infection. Hope this gets a high turnout.

  • I'd hoped to make this only to be reminded that we've got an appointment to pick up wedding photos at 12, so there's no way I can be there.

    Ride safe everybody.

  • Really well organised and marshalled ride. Very social and enjoyable. Great to see those of you I saw. Around 300 or so.

  • Great, sounds like a healthy turnout.

Did the ride cork, or just ride through, the spots (as a matter of interest)?

  • brilliant numbers! let us know if there's a write-up somewhere..

  • Fantastic day. Well done everyone. Great to see so many people including my wonderful forum chums.

  • It went really well, 300 is just about enough to make a good presence, but not enough to anger motorists.

not fun when an HGV tried to push me off as I was blocking Waterloo Bridge though.

  • Great ride, nice to see some old faces and meet some new. Shocked to hear at the start about yesterday's fatality (the second in 3 weeks) at Bow roundabout. Tfl need to get out of their 'numbers game' mindset, quoting statistics again this week. People are being maimed and killed on roads they control.

  • I cannot believe how much press coverage this ride was getting today. It was on every London news program. Well done to all involved. Did you realise how well covered it was?

  • I don't think so, I saw a handful of cameras, but didn't think it'd be that big.

    missed the news though.

  • Plenty of cameras and microphones. Even I was interviewed. Guardian was there but i refused to speak to them for fear of being mis-spelt. Approximately 65% of the riders appeared to be bloggers.

  • I saw Oliver on the news. Trust him to be right up the front muscling in on the fame

  • Well done folks! Good on you all for getting this so well covered!

  • Some nice pictures here particularly of our own Oliver S and Ed Scoble

  • In this clip you see James arriving and shouting abuse at me.

    Nice

  • it was nice to run into you all today. i had this in my diary as a ride i wanted to do! (failed at wrong date) so sorry mark! but you did an ace job!

  • Thanks to the organisers. I really enjoyed the ride and chatting with other riders. Nice to meet a few forumengers. The general lack of aggro even when drivers were being dicks was pleasing.

Someone asked about corking: yes, but only the marshals corked and then hurried back to the front. Pretty slick operation but a bit stressful I'm sure.

  • By the way I like to offer my appreciation for the non-marshals who offer to help during the corking by taking our places and letting some of us get to the next junction to corked the traffic.

generally it's not necessary, but it does allowed the marshals to be more effective in getting to each junctions, so thank you for helping either way.
