  • Toilet Rush!

The rest of the pics are here. Didn't take too many, was too busy being a hipster curator. Think I need to hire a publicity staff for that kind of thing.

  • hah. oh dear.

  • Great stuff, well done and thanks hipstercurator, the contributors, selectors and LMNH. Bummer to have missed it.

  • Oh shit, where are my manners. Forgot to say thanks to Tom for the awesome poster!

  • I had to dash off after the films but they were great, well done Tibbs.

I also enjoyed Lace Tension True - Goldtecs + Open Pros + Sapim = choice of winners ;)

  • Thanks tibbs! Sorry for turning up late and hammered. I managed to get lost on the way home. Oops.

  • Whatapened after b*ll*cks!!? There was a vague plan to go to Bagel King for apple crumble, to which a few people vaguely agreed, then we were loosing at list a cyclist per junction, at the end by E&C nobody was going there anymore!

Should have left with Reeen, man did you go for apple crumble or did it fail too?

What a crappy ending... to a great night! Thanks Tibbs, DJs and all!

  • Greetings folks,
Well what a night on Friday...
A massive thanks to the lovely Tibbs for putting this on and getting everything sorted...
I got there at 6.20 or so, had a chat with a few people and took my seat near the front. I then looked round just before kick off and it was absolutely rammed – total roadblock.
Really enjoyed Wake up to muff – great film and good bike humour / puns in all the right places.
Enjoyed the Rocky rip off – again really good bike jokes in all the right places.
Also really liked the Herne Hill one.
Then it was bring on the music. Enjoyed being given the chance to run some reggae. Tunes in no particular order

    Our Father – Della Grant
Rise and Shine – Bunny Wailer
Put the knife down – Alien Dread
    Promised Land – Dennis Brown
State of Emergency – Joe Gibbs
    Shaka Zulu Livication – Tomaski
    Torah – Tez fa Zion

Thanks for turning up. Thanks for giving me the chance – a great honour.... Thanks to Tibbs again.

    Peace and Love,
    Tim

  • Thanks Jah tim, nice tunes! Good fun....

  • Hope the films went down well? I couldn't get there early enough to see them. :[
Sadly I couldn't hear most of what I played, and was reduced to one deck for the majority of it too, but here's the tracklist as far as I can remember. :]

Emerson Lake and Palmer...'Karn evil 9', last half.
Led Zeppelin...'Whole lotta love', middle section
The pop group...'She is beyond good and evil'
    Joy division...'These days'
    Our daughters wedding...'Lawnchairs', Original version
    Cutty Ranks...'Limb by limb', Acapella
The notorious B.I.G...'One more chance', Hip hop instrumental
Mad lion...'Take it easy', vocal mix
The liks...'Best U can', the Ahh mix
    Redman...'Tonight's da nite'
Ultra magnetic MC's...'Poppa large'...east coast mix
    KRS one...'sound of da police'

I can't remember the order past that point as I'd lost all hope by then :] , but here's what else I played, in no particular order...

    The cure...'Pillbox tales'
    Sham 69...'Angels with dirty faces'
The slits...'In the beginning there was rhythm'
    A certain ratio...'Shack up'
Joy division...'Love will tear us apart'
    The clash...'Spanish bombs'
Tubeway army...'Me! I disconnect from you'
    The cure...'Do the Hansa'
Carol Lynne Townes...'99 1/2' club mix
Simple minds...'Don't you forget about me'
The sisters of mercy...'Lucretia my reflection'
    Chas n Dave...'Gertcha'
Paul Shane and the yellowcoats...'HI DE HI'

    Think that was the lot?

  • massive tunes Scott, Tim and Sven! shame about the right deck and the whole situation with the amp was just ridiculous.

finally got to see Tibbs' movie!!! that was definitely a highlight!

Sorry dude I was following Nathan. He was blasting it. I caught him up and said "we've already passed bagel king" and he said "oh I was just going home". So I bailed on crumble

  • Totally missed this, and doubly saddened by the fact I missed Gertcha getting played out loud...

  • played out loud...
