i mean the freehub and lockring design, freehubs wont get chewed up and lockrings are impossible to strip.

Shame its 12 speed exclusive.

Also they might be going away from NDS plastic pre-load bolt too.

I'm just playing. I've complained every time they've added a cog. It's a bit annoying as nowadays I wear stuff out fast enough that I then have to consider if the upgrade is worth doing instead of just swapping some part. Back when it was 9spd and I was in Oz, that was never a consideration.

You love a less gappy cassette so you'd jump on 12 speed plus I am sure people with DT, Hope and some other good hubs wont even ned to swap wheels.

12 speed is quite bedded in MTB, all the way down to Deore.

I doubt I will get 12 speed road though.

Yeah but I have something like 8 bikes that are 11spd. So if/when I decide to move I have the drama of not being able to use certain wheels with x bike, have to remember to have the new types of chains as spares, new tools possibly. It's just a headache.

The whole history of the industrial revolution is one of people learning lessons from one generation of manufacture and applying them to the next to make things both better and cheaper. Claris R2000 is better than DuraAce 7400.

My point is that the non eletronic parts all have big added $ value with DA whereas the difference in those parts between 105 and Ultegra is only a few quid. By the time you're spending di2 money, who cares about saving £25 on a £250 mech. The price gaps need to be bigger for it to be worth it
