Is there a 'better' Di2 seatpost mount? I see various companies make mounts for 27.2 posts (PRO, Deda, Ritchey, etc) but are any of them better than any of the others? Better fit, less rattle, etc?

Bubble wrap, tape and jam it in. In my experience they all come loose at some stage.

the rubber pads that go either side are best. light and simple.
Or get some ducttape and wrap it around untill the right thickness. Will work just as well.

I wrapped it in some foam with double sided tape, still there after 2 years

I'll see if I have anything that will work. You reckon DIY approach is better than the factory rubber mounts?

Could I use one of the new Y-cables for my aerobar TT shifter pods to reduce need for a Junction A?
-
• #2212
I went for the DIY approach because my zipp seatpost is oval on the inside and I wasn't sure if the factory plugs would work with that.

Yeah, same with the Shiv and the Kinesis has a customised Thomson but I'm going to try my S-Works Tarmac post which is pretty standard carbon 27.2. I'd rather get the best fit possible from the start rather than having to put it together and pull it down again for a take #2.

Toying with the idea of going from standard road 6870 setup to the bar end port and no external junction box on the new build.
Shopping list would be:
EW-RS910 bar end
EW-JC130 Y cable
EW-WU111 wireless transmitter OR JC41 junction box (ideally hidden in the stem but I think this might be a pain to drill when I need to feed the brake cable anyway). This would then connect to battery and mechs as normal and shrink wrap the two cables together. Wish me luck!

Rotor chainset + 50/34 Praxis rings + 6870 DI2 + Ultegra chain
Front upshifts very temperamental, chain doesn't catch the big ring and slips around. Have to shift with minimal load. I've tried to setup from scratch a couple of time now.
Chainrings had 2000km on a 10speed setup before going to 11speed. Total 10000km. Could be that?
Any obvious setup steps to resolve?
Thanks

I have similar issues
Rotor cranks, praxis rings
Shifting is fine in the work stand but v slow when actually riding the bike.

• #2217
really? I have Red cranks, praxis (50/34) rings and a 6870 front derailleur and gear changes are super slick.. Can't imagine having such problems, although I have the newer buzz rings.
Did you guys fit the lift pin?

I feel like the chainline could do with being ever so slightly further inboard.
Shifting with Force22 front mech was fine but the Di2 doesn't throw the chain far enough. What's the lift pin?

that little silver thing close to his fingers, on my rings I had to install them myself:

10000km would be dead rings to be. I just replaced some around that milage.
Post a photo of the rings.
Perhaps your hi/low adjustment is out on the derailleur. That could cause it to not upshift properly.

i have the lift pins, and my chainrings were installed with new chain and cassette at the same time, shifting into the big ring has been a bit shit since then.
i am going to try releasing the high limit screw to see if this allows a bit of an extra push.

Ah those bits, yes, have lift pins installed. I'll copy James's limit screw adjustment and see it helps.
I'll photograph the rings when at home this eve. Could very well be more tired than I had hoped. Some deformed teeth here and there.

I have that combo with cheaper chain and it's generally fine.
Had an issue few weeks back where the bike was CAKED in mud and shite and did a double shift after corner before a climb. It didn't shift quick enough and I thought I'd thrown the chain or something but it hadn't just sounded dodgy.
Have you followed the proper steps for adjusting the Di2 FD? They're not like cable FDs
-
• #2224
I watched an review of Praxis Clover rings on Youtube just yesterday and the conclusion was their shifting was absolute shit from brand new regardless of how a DA Di2 FD was set up. Pushed the chain up but the ramps/pins seem to be in wrong position so the chain landed on top of the teeth all the time.

yep, followed all the videos online, and it always shifts perfectly on the stand, but is then v slow - often 2 whole cycles of the cranks needed with finger on the shifter for the chain to jump when pedalling v softly
They're not sprint buttons, they're TT shifter pods and I don't (yet) have DA levers so I'm not sure if my current ones have extra ports or not. Maybe.
