My Canyon is set up pretty much the same way.
I hid my junction box in the seat tube to make the front stem more neater and in my dumb head more aero, only advise is that if you go down this route I would recommend getting the d-fly to see how much battery you have as when you have the box inside the frame it becomes a little more difficult to know how much battery you have left.
Plus it does make it a little more on a pain to charge your bike as you need to remove the seatpost everytime to do this

Hahaa, my surprise at initially thinking you hadn't heard of them wasn't unwarranted then
Stem's a standard Vibe. It's not to do with that, I think there's some theories about the seatpost as well as some about the junction box being in the handlebars.

Hasn't Shimano released a junction box that is a bar end plug?

Desperately awaiting this and for it to be compatible with 6870. Hate the current junction boxes

You beauty!

have you seen that front derailleur battery sticking out!?

Does anyone know if the new di2 r9100 junction box in the handlebar ends will work with the old di2 9070?
-
• #1912
Should do, see my post above.

Win!! Now I'll just have to wait for the handlebars which will be coming in march....

you can find all the compatibilities in Shimano's handy compatibility chart:
http://e-tubeproject.shimano.com/guide/#guide_list (scroll down a bit for the latest version)What bars are you getting?

You will have a new bike by then

Tbh, pro vibe, as I'm a sucker for Matchy Matchy, the pro vibe stem is the main reason why I want to change my handle, as finally they will do a -17 1 1/4 stem for the Canyon.
I'm always a sucker for aero, but I do like the pratical side of the traditional handlebars too:

Not if I'm getting a -17 stem!! Also with ththe look I don't think I can accommodate another bike in the flat.

What is the best state of charge to keep the batteries on my etap groupset whilst the bike is in winter hibernation? I took it out for a brief spin and noticed the batteries had drained whilst being sat still on my rack.

Nice! I really like the look of the new Vibe stuff, and it seems they flared the bar ends for the bar end junction. Does this mean that junction won't work on normal bars?

best state is in the charger :)

It looks like it... diameter seems different. Hopefully we'll see many brands releasing an adapted version of their bars. Or maybe the flare at the end is just the result of the thinner aero section on the drops sweep.
Plus many unreleased 2017 frames will feature downtube fixing kit for the new junction box as already seen on the Trek Madone. -

Running Ultegra 6870.
I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in this thread and I have seen numerous examples elsewhere but what are the latest recommendations for 'hacking' rear derailleur sprint shifters onto clip on aero extensions?
Cateye buttons seem to be the most used but I have also seen which I think is tidier. http://nyvelocity.com/articles/equipment/ultegra-di2-tt-hack/
Any advice appreciated.

Try hacking the SW600 climbing switch instead. I've done it, and it's fairly simple. Just needs a steady hand with a soldering iron.

Leave them disconnected on the shelf at around 50% charge at room temp. Dont store them with zero charge.
Leaving batterys on charge in the chargers for long periods of time is probabaly the worst way to store them.

Ta, this is what I shall do.
Yeah I follow them and seen the bike on gram and WW.
Good riddle to solve this .. any thoughts @Dammit
Its a PRO stem but not Tharsis ..
