I can do around 450 miles on a full tank (london to somerset drive around there for a week and then back to london)

£40 for a fill up on a 1.2L sounds perfectly reasonable to me Hippy. 450miles out of that less so.

1.2L in terms of engine size does not sound reasonable to me at all.. unless I'm mistaken and you funny europeans measure on a per-cylinder basis..

As the years progress i find that whereas i used to drive to commute, and ride my bike for fun, now the opposite is true.

I love anything with an engine, but driving around London during teh daytime just isnt worth it unless you really need to.

They've put new speed bumps in on Lordship lane, which are just mental- proper sump crackers.

Really tempted to get an older Land Rover to tackel them

Are you sure your Volvo's suspension isn't knackered? I rode the length of Lordship Lane tonight and encountered no speed bumps whatsoever.

Just by the builders merchants/Kwik-Fit- the road name may change at that point.

You'd know it if you'd hit it, they've helpfully narrowed the road there as well.
