A three day event finishing today - Sunday 23 Oct, at Ally Pally

Had to scour the website to find what time it's on, but it seems the first event is at 12pm. Anyone on here going?

I was at last week's event in Windemere. The lovely, warm weather helped to make it a great day.

And it was a great day today too :)

Was up there watching. Good fun.

Saw a few people in forum caps and looked to be a few racing in the fun race at the end. Also spotted a really nice looking great Oak (?) framed bike near the tequila shortcut.

Cowbells, beards, bells. It was all there. Spotted a few caps, and DAS'd someone.

I would have chucked my bike into a hedge if I'd been lapped twice by a bloke on a mountain bike.

I was fine with him lapping me...ONCE!

I don't think on that being on an mtb, on that course would've been a huge disadvantage, but honestly what the fuck do I know.

Riding a modern lightweight mtb in a cross race is rarely a significant disadvantage. Especially if its a 29er. The upsides counteract the downsides on most courses.
