  • Yeah Max and PK. Sounds like you may have a better case than we did when we asked. It's better to play late rather than forfeit

  • Sandy sold his polo bike? Thats a real shame. I knew he was not feeling it at the moment, but didnt think he was that far gone...

  • You shouldn't munch on so much dick, then.

    1-1
    shakes fist

  • I will be there tonight to ref and play...

BTW, I have a pump that somebody left on saturday.

Im a lefty i'll play if allowed.

  • I don't want any special rules for us, it's our fault if we can't play it before the 17th.

I'll speak to Dean, and see how far away he is, maybe we can play next Tuesday?

Ok, I'm kinda a fan of the new draconian format where teams actually play on time, but I don't think bronchitis or a broken thumb can either be described as your fault.

I do think the one one sub at a time rule is counterproductive too. What's the point?

I'm completely ok with that ruling. As much as it isn't "our fault", it's not anyone else's either.

  • I'll be there tonight for throw-ins.

  • I would rather let PK & Max hand down a decision, which is what we agreed to do at the beginning of the season, rather than leaving the decision to whoever can be bothered to post an opinion on this thread.

  • Who is in Le BigMac? I can't keep up with you guys and your crazy name changes...

  • Who is in Le BigMac? I can't keep up with you guys and your crazy name changes...

The name might have changed, but it's still the same mix of class traitors, revisionists & losers.

  • Oh, Chukker's team? Sweet... ;]

  • Oh it's like a broken record but I still laugh every time.

Sorry wasn't suggesting my opinion should take precedent over the rules, mearly stating opinion and a question.

  • That's enough opinions. This is a dictatorship.

    Yeah, it's duumvirate!

  • thanks Imogen, hope the straps are still good for you. The polo bike is up for sale if you still want it, £150 and I'll chuck in mallets and pads,

hope you ok, heal fast man!

You throwing in the towel Barry?

  • I'll be there tonight for throw-ins.

    me too

  • Results:

    Skulls-HGS
    Dan x2, Ali 3-1 Felix
    Ian, Ali x4 5-2 Ben x2
    Ian, Alix2, Danx2 5-0

Results didnt tell the whole story. It was evenly matched for the first to games. Chances aplenty for both sides, only difference is the conversion and very good defending from both sides, Ali was on fire with both passes and scoring, some amazing shots very fluid moves from both sides. Dan was briliant at blocking. Felix was brave with challenges, ol' Ali seems to be back on the courts with quick turns and shots/passes which was very pleasant to the eyes as a spectator/ref. Ian was very direct with his approach, a combination of speed and quick shots made him pretty deadly in getting the alll important first goal in the 2nd and 3rd games. Easy game to ref, clean games albeit plenty at stake. Felix played on my bike (yeah, yeah, my bike's shit... whatever...) as his rear wheel was taco-ed in the 2nd games and was comical at times and the game was pretty much Skulls's to lose.

Only complaint: No supporters. Me, Mira, Lish, Joni were the only non-match players present.

Positives: Aplenty. Both teams were attacking at every opportunity, which left HGS a bit exposed at times at a turnover, nice fluid games, very little to call 50/50 decisions aplenty. Nice link up play for both teams for the goals and both teams were very happy to play the shoulder without being dangerous. Brilliant defending from both side without the need for double D shutouts with Alexis, Felix, Dan and Ian repelling shots when in goal and keeping the ball when a team mate is down.

Cheers for the write up and reffing Ben, and thanks to Mira and Joni for goal reffing.

really good hard games, played in a great spirit and alot of fun, games like these are what the league is all about. I felt we were really close in the first 2 but just couldn't match Wooden Skulls' finishing and they deservedly took the fixture. I cant really see anyone stopping them from winning Division 2. I definitely reckon that they could give the top 4 in the 1st Division a real run for their money.

Shout out to the other two Hackney Goal Slotters, Alex and Felix who both played some awesome polo

  • Result from last nights Div1 fixture...

    cosmic vs Le BigMac:

    game 1:
    4-0
    game 2:
    5-1
    game 3:
    5-1

Thanks Andy, Kib and Ben for reffing.

Think Andy has the goal scorers and fixture details.

PK, please update league table when you have the chance.

  • Nice will. Like the effect and feel of them. Grainy and high contrast like an old xerox fanzine.

  • ^^
"Now go and stand in the corner and think about what you've done."
