Talking of sirens it looks like they'll be joining us (Yo-mo-yo and grr and some other team that grr are playing) on Sunday the 13th at newt.

Seeing as how the league has been split this year with less games, and that there's problems with lights at Downs & Mitch, is there any chance of extending the two-fixture windows a bit? It is difficult enough as is to get six people to play together on the same day with work, other commitments, etc.

I was thinking:

Window 2: Nov 17th to Dec 31st
Window 3: Jan 1st to Feb 14th:
Window 4: Feb 15th to Mar 31st

So the league would still be over fairly early on, but the windows would be a bit longer than a calendar month.

Kev, the schedule is always put back when people suddenly realise that Christmas/bad weather is happening.

I think it's best to stick to the current schedule as it'll give us leah way when something (relatively) unexpected happens.

Also frankly if you can't organise 2 games in a month I think you should be questioning if your team is committed enough for the league!

Louis I hope you are gently teasing / jokingly rubbing me up the wrong way; otherwise I would tell you to fuck off. You know from the slew of PMs I've been sending out that I've been doing as much as I can to arrange our game, I've been doing the bulk of the organising, the communication is primarly one-way, your team hasnt been offering much info in the way of free days or nights to play, I was the one who approached you lot first about getting the game done. Also see reply 235 on here, please respond.

And trying to organise the game with The Pickled Onion has been like getting blood from a stone. Requests for phone numbers, info on where they live and when they can play is torturous. There's only so many PMs a man can send before he feels like a yabbering idiot. They dont log in or use the forum enough. And then the window is up.

There are less games than last season because of the split, so I'm just asking if its necessary that the window be shorter than last season.

Sorry yes I am aware you came to us (although iirc your opening statement was that you could only play Sunday's and I couldn't do last Sunday and this Sunday is Cambridge so didn't leave many options open to us!) and was taking the piss. Although seriously two games in a month shouldn't be so hard! :-)

(having said that I've been trying to get my team together for a bit of practice and have failed at that for the last two weeks and that's just three people!)

Sunday is the best option for me as its the only day I dont work. I can do Mondays or Tuesdays nights at Newington (only after 8:30/9pm) too, or Wednesday anywhere. Or Friday or Saturday nights at Newington. But thats cool we will see you next Sunday at 10am.
